CreateNg is an app, combining aspects of Instagram, Pinterest, X, GoodReads, and Reddit, to create a space for artists and artisans to connect and share ideas. They can post their own work and project updates for any kind of craft, such as crocheting, sewing, or leatherwork. There is a different channel for each one, allowing users to select what they’re most interested in to personalize their experience.
The mascot for CreateNg is a beaver, because it represents the purpose of the brand well. Beavers are known for their ability to build things like dams and lodges. They are also a keystone species, meaning they are integral to the creation and maintenance of an ecosystem, much like creatives in society. They are community-oriented animals, thriving off collaboration and social interactions. Throughout the branding, I make small references to beavers and nature to maintain a cohesive and clever identity.
